Please join with me in these new year prayers and reflections.
As the new year approaches, it is tempting to look back and relive what has gone on before. But the past still remains the past. It is unchangeable. It is toward the future that we will turn our gaze now. At the General Conference that will be held in 2016, the delegates will have many topics to be prayerful over – all of which will have special significance for the Church.
We pray Holy Spirit wisdom and guidance for the 2016 General Conference delegates. Open their hearts, souls and minds to Your Spirit, Lord.
The GCFA board will change after General Conference. A significant number of current board members will end their service to the Church on the GCFA board. This will bring about changes for us. At GCFA, we will remain strong in our commitment to the Church and its many administrative needs, from its Board to its local churches.
We pray Holy Spirit wisdom and guidance for the new board members of GCFA. Open their hearts, souls and minds to Your Spirit, Lord.
There will be new beginnings, new decisions and new initiatives in the coming year. There will be changes both big and small. But we must remember always that our God is in control and nothing happens without God’s intent.
We pray Holy Spirit wisdom and guidance for ourselves. Open our hearts, souls and minds to Your Spirit, Lord.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
